Professional Development for Educators

Educator workshops provide traditional and non-traditional educators with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to teach science and natural resources topics to students of all ages. These workshops provide opportunities for educators to enhance their knowledge, network, and earn professional growth plan (PGP) points. Participants come away with curriculum guides full of activities! Our staff is trained to facilitate educator workshops for the following natural resource themed programs. Foundations of Water Education

Foundations of Water Education (Project WET) is designed for educators to deepen their understanding of water systems and promote sustainable practices. Immerse yourself in the essential knowledge and skills needed to understand and teach about one of our planet’s most vital resources - water.

Designed for K-12

Climate, Water, and Resilience, a middle- and high- school curriculum is also available.

Explore Your Environment

Explore Your Environment (Project Learning Tree) is a science-based program designed to connect students to nature and teach them about their local environment through investigations of trees and forests, integrating multiple subjects like science, math, and social studies.

Project WILD

Project WILD is a science-based program that teaches students about wildlife and the environment. The program's goal is to help students develop the knowledge and skills to make responsible decisions about wildlife and the environment.

Designed for K-12

Aquatic WILD, Flying WILD, and Climate & Wildlife are also available.

Trees & Me

Trees & Me is a curriculum developed by Project Learning Tree (PLT) designed to connect young children (ages 1-6) with nature, specifically focusing on trees through a variety of hands-on, sensory-based indoor and outdoor activities, allowing them to explore trees throughout the seasons and connect with their community.

Designed for ages 1-6.

Growing Up Wild

Growing Up Wild is an early childhood education curriculum designed to foster a love for nature and wildlife in young children (ages 3-7) through hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, and lessons that connect to various subject areas like science, art, music, and math, all while building positive impressions about the natural world around them.

Designed for ages 3-7.

Getting Little Feet Wet

Getting Little Feet Wet is an early childhood education curriculum featuring interactive, hands-on activities. Young learners explore different aspects of water—from water properties to water sounds.
